Answers to Your Questions

  • How do I apply the decal?
It's super easy but requires patience! There's two ways to apply a decal - dry or wet application. I like the wet application as it allows for some maneuverabilty and give you better chances are reducing and pushing out air bubbles. If it's a small simple decal, the dry method should work fine. If it's larger, go with the wet application. Wet Application Things you’ll need: Spray bottle of soapy water - just a few drops of Dawn dish soap and water Credit Card or hard squeegee A nice day: Between 60-80 degrees with no wind works best - this ensures the heat of the sun doesn’t dry up your soapy water. Don't forget! We also offer an Installation Kit that includes a small spray bottle, squeegee and razor blade for 5 bucks! Step 1: Clean the area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or soap and water. Spray-way glass cleaner works great - Windex tends to leave a residue that can cause issues with adhesion. Step 2: On a table top, rub a squeegee or credit card edge firmly across the sticker across the tan transfer tape to prepare the decal for application. This ensures the sticker will cling to the transfer tape and removes any air bubbles that may have formed. Step 3: Peel the paper backing off the sticker. If the sticker clings to the backing, slowly replace the paper backing and repeat Step 2. Pro Tip: Spray the sticky side of the vinyl decal and the surface it’s to be applied with soapy water - this will allow you to maneuver the decal or lift it up in case your placement needs to be adjusted. Don’t soak the surfaces, just a few sprays will do. Step 4: Slowly lower the sticker onto the surface and rub it in place firmly with a squeegee or credit card. Run the hard edge firmly from the inside toward the edges to push out any liquid or air bubbles. Step 5: Slowly peel the transfer tape off at an angle. Be careful not to pull the sticker off the surface. If sticker pulls away from the surface, push the transfer paper back down on the area and press down firmly for a few seconds. Be super slow/patient/cautious as a zebra near alligator infested waters - rushing can cause air bubbles. LONG STORY SHORT: Google/YouTube "wet application decal application instructions" If you have a large decal, use the wet application method and look up the hinge method for a more manageable application.
